Here are some pictures from my mini-sabbatical to Charleston in Sussex. This is the former home of Vanessa Bell & Duncan Grant and their illustrious intellectual visitors. They decorated much of the farmhouse by hand, painting onto door panels, cupboard doors and onto plaster. The house is set in beautiful 'art' gardens, designed by Roger Fry.
